User Exits - How to enable?!

Hi there,

Can someone please explain how to enable User Exits for a specific Remote Site / protocol?
Where would the output from a “printf” in a User Exit end up? In log.dat?
Is it ok for .c User Exits not to have a main() entry?!

Any help appreciated.

File containing parameters

Hello everybody.
I’m actually trying to send to Gateway a file containing a series of lines containing the parameters needed to send a mail to an external address.
How can I read these lines into a Perl script and return these values into a set of commands ready for a Transfer Model mail ? (i.e. : smtp_to, smtp_bcc, …)

secbase error exporting certificates and keys

Hi!

When attempting to export the certificates (and same for the keys) from the GW 6.8.5 (SP9) we get the following error:

secbase export_cert: Configuration access error

We had the same error some time ago and at that time we managed to solve it BUT we dit not document that solution and now we have the same situation again and we cannot find the solution this time.

Memory is getting clear now! We set the user access control to “none” the last time got it working. Tried it this time also with the same instance of GW and no luck…

Can anyone give some input on what to test, we have made a copy of the installation so any command is pretty much possible.

As we remember last time we changed some setting in the gatesetup to get it working.

All other exports are fine, it´s just the certificates and keys that fail with this error.

What functions is the secbase dependant on? What canNOT be shut down to have it working?

Creating delay between event alert emails

I’ve configured alerts.xml to send out email notifications via SMTP for certain events, specifically to notify when a file is sent or received (Event: Messaging.Message.PayloadDelivered). This works, however, apparently our email server cannot handle receiving multiple emails at the same time and not all notifications are received. I have other (vbs) scripting to send emails and create a 5 second pause between emails and that works quite well.

I’m wondering if anyone can tell me how I can create a delay between the sending of the notifications configured from alerts.xml. How are the emails sent? Is there a file that I can edit to insert a delay between the emails?

Integrator Process setup

I am creating a integration process which requires to receive a file and send to 2 destinations. How do I create this. Receive from one and send to one is working fine. I need to send the same file to 2 different destinations. Please help
