Hello everybody.
I’m starting using Gateway in these days.
One of my first needs is to forward an email to another mail address; I actually have a job which sends mails to various destinations, each mail contains a different file as an attachment.

Example :

send FILE1 as e-mail attachment to DEST1@example.com
send FILE2 as e-mail attachment to DEST2@example.com
send FILE3 as e-mail attachment to DEST3@example.com

Could you please me help by giving me a few guidelines ?

I have a trading partner that is unable to process my EDI data when it is not processed through the EDI splitter. The data is coming from a mainframe and is sent as binary data from an 80 byte fixed length file. Synchrony packages the file and sends it without truncated the trailing spaces. If multiple transactions are sent from the mainframe, the EDI splitter does truncate all trailing spaces from each interchange.

The documentation for the EDI splitter mentions it truncating all trailing spaces, but this is not happening when only 1 interchange is processed.

I had a 3B2 inbound fail. I fixed the pipdefinitions.xml and did a reprocess on the message but now get the received out of sequence. How can I get around this. I think it is complaining because I already have this file in error.

We have another part of our organisation that uses a VSFTPd server that they want to use to connect to someone elses Synchrony Gateway v6.11.4 FTP client.

Has anyone used the Gateway FTP client connector for connections with a VSFTPd server running on Linux over an encrypted TLS channel and Mutual Authentication?

Has anyone used an outbound trading partner web services delivery exchange? I would expect the default web services configuration for outbound xml messages via the trading partner web services delivery exchange would work something like this:

Step 1. Poll outbound xml message (file) from internal file system via a pickup exchange
Step 2. Based on the binary directory name, it would use the directory/routing Id to identify the trading partner to send the message to
Step 3. The xml file would be parsed by the trading engine and included in the the SOAP body of the web service request to the external trading partner as it is sent to the https url I setup in the trading partner web services delivery exchange
Step 4. The trading partner’s external web service would receive the web service request and return a response back to the trading engine
Step 5. The trading engine would/should place the response to the web service request to a configured file system or to a parameter accessible by a post process but this is the step that I am questioning - any ideas how a response to an outbound external web services request is handled by the trading engine? (we are on Gateway Interchange v.5.5.2 sp.8 but will soon be upgrading to v.5.8.0 sp.1).
