Hi All,

XIB211 is trying to receive messages posted by http client( application running on jboss5) and we have observe strange behavior in xib with below errors,

ERROR:20091124 16.17.59.03:procengine(procengine(ta_http)):array index out of bounds
ERROR:20091124 16.17.59.03:procengine(procengine(transadaptenv)):the MBC ‘/opt/Axway/xib211/xib/4edi/component/ta_http.x4′ threw an exception ‘AGGREGATE’, error 2243 in statement ‘IMBC_TRANSADAPT.TIMEOUTCALLBACK’

has any one come across this ?

this has been observed in our production env, and quick feed back is greatly appreciated if any of you have

would like to share with all of you in case you need to move XIB instance to another machine

1. Goto $CORE_LOCAL/bin/core_setup
Modify all hardcoded values, only required…

2. Goto $CORE_LOCAL/config/sysman/sysman.cfg
Modify all sysmanpool to the new prefix.

3. Start XIB with core_servers start -S, and connect with client (if
possible)

4. Modify $CORE_DATA/starter/starter.cfg to have the new machine hostname everywhere

5. Goto Task Manager, change System Task, first Configuration->Host name,
and then the ports under System Porter, and commit.

6. Clean out $CORE_DATA/porter/porter.mem from old ports

7. Rebuild dataset…

I’m retreiving a file in Gateway and routing it to XIB, XIB receives it with the XFB Connector.
When the file is received in XIB the filename has changed from the “real” filename, I can see that it is available in the attribute, but is it really necessary to write an MBC that sets the filename from the attribute?

Are there any settings in Gateway that keeps the original filename?

We’re issuing a SEND from an AIX machine to a Z/OS mainframe (MVS) in the format as hinted at below.

cftutil send part=mainframe, idf=AIXtoMVS, fname=/testdir/testfile, nfname=’mvs.gdg.dataset(+1)’

but we get an error “Open mode not allowed”.

the CFTMAIN job on the mainframe has “ALTER” access to the ‘mvs.*’ hierachy. and we’ve tried existing PDS and new PDS files with various HLQ’s and still get the same error.

Anyone any ideas?

p.s. CFT is version v2.4.1 m-3-18

We don’t have sentinel yet so I have some reports and monitors written in Oracle pl/sql that select infomation from the G.I. tables. In those reports/monitors I use the (gmt - x hours) value which changes between gmt-5 and gmt-6 depending on if it is daylight savings time or not. Any ideas if G.I. stores the ‘Server’s time zone’ either in the database or in some config file that I could make use of to populate my variable that holds the (gmt - x hours) value in my select statements? This would save me the time of creating a one-off solution to automate the DST change twice a year rather than having someone change the (gmt - 5 to gmt - 6). Thanks for any suggestions!
