Hi All,

Is anyone able to use external SMTP sever (account) which requires authentication for sending event alerts ?

I’m tracking this case since version 5.4.2 and it’s working only with open relay servers or server which doesn’t require authentication for delivery within local domain.

As far as I remember since version 5.5.0 “System Managment -> Configure the global external SMTP server” there is an option Test which is not working at all, can anyone confirm it?

Under current version 5.7.1 SP6 it’s still not working as expected.

Any suggestions or help will be approciated.

Hey all,

It was brought to our attention today that Cybertrust scanning of our web interfaces may have revealed a vulnerability that would allow malicious mysql statements to be executed should somebody so desire. While it’s believed this is a false positive, we are curious as to whether or not anybody has explored the issue of such a vulnerability in the web server, and most specifically whether or not this has been addressed in any way (patch, confirmation that we are not vulnerable, etc.). We are on 5.7.1 on a solaris platform.

I have a new requirement to let a certain team (1 group email address) know what has been received from a specific FromID (partner) every morning. I have made a custom Message tracker Search that shows me the last 24 hours of this partner with the default column list plus the Original Filename.

How can I get this information to be emailed every morning at 6:00 am? Currently, I just copy and paste the data into an email by hand, but I need this automated for the weekends and other times I am not in the office.

Any pointer where I can look to start with? It does not have to be pretty, just functional and readable. When I look at Help -> About, it says we are running Synchrony EndPoint Activator 5.7.1.0.5. We are running this on a Windows virtual server. i imagine I can schedule a .bat job on that server for 6:00 am every morning.
