Gate Controller stops responding

We are running Gateway 6.11.4 SP2 on Solaris 10 and keeps having problems with the Gate Controller becoming unresponsive. It doesn’t seem to hurt files transferring in/out but it drops the connection to Integrator. We have not been able to find the root cause of this yet. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience.

XIB 2.1.1, Addressing SAP Gateway

Hi all.
We plan to change addressing of SAP Gateway from IP to DNS.
When using ping, the DNS-server correctly resolves the IP-address from
DNS-name. I have replaced IP with DNS in host-field in ALE Gateway and
ALE Node, but I fail to get connected to SAP Gateway through XIB.
Does anyone have any idea of what I am missing here?

XFB Gateway 6.9.1 on W2003 as ftp client

Hello,

I made some tests in order to distribute the same data file group (300 files in 25 sub directories) from a central XFB Gateway to 40 sites using FTP (MS IIS on Windows on the remote sites).

95% of the transfert are OK but I have an issue with files with “long” path and file name.

As I understood Windows support 255 caracters for the string (path plus name and extension) and if I’m right XFB Gateway manage 127 caracters for the path and 76 for the file name.

Is it true?

And if yes, how can I manage this ? I have some ideas like : developp a shell script to manage the files in error.

Gateway 6114 on Solaris, Weird behaiour and Memory usage problems

Hello,

We use Gateway 6.11.4 SP5 on Solaris 9 with 2GB of RAM.
All seems to be ok but :
** Something Weird, the “q_router” process use more and more memory to work.
After a Gateway restart, the “q_router” use 11 MB in memory and after 4 Days, it uses 714 MB in RAM.
“Axway Support” tells me to enlarge the “router.pmq” with the pmqctl command. So I enlarged it to 10MB but i’ve got the same behaviour (No prob in v675)

If someone could help me, I will be very greatful …

** An other things realy strange. We have, sometimes, one or many transfers which fall in a FROZEN state without any information to investigate … A quick restart on this transfer bring the solution and the transfer is transfered. In the v675, i’ve never seen this behaviour. So, Why ?

Recurrring actions on Automator servers.

Hi,

Is there any recurring actions that can be done in order to assure the stability and the performance of the Automator servers ?
(Like deleting file logs, stoping and starting the servers, …)

Right now, we have none defined on our environement.
And it seems that the opspserver process is taking more cpu that before. (I’m not sure of that though…)

For exemple, in our development environnement, we have 4 instances runing. Each of them is lunching a job every 30 seconds. (very short job)
And I can see the opspserver taking 100% for nearly 10 seconds, then stoping for around 7 seconds, and going on again.

So I was thinking that maybe some actions could be done in order to purge datas that could slow down the execution of the production server ?
