Howdy folks,

Given the recent events surrounding Axways insistence that I remove a post they found inflammatory, I’ve been giving a lot of thought to the goal of this site. I wanted a place where I could express my opinion whenever I felt like it on my experiences with Axway. I can’t have this. I’ve decided (out of the desire to keep food on the table and the lights on at home) that it’s not necessary. The difficulties I would have to face in dealing with Axway not being able to accept somebody individually calling out their shortcomings as a company do not outweigh the benefits of free speech.

From now on I’ll say only positive things about Axway so as to not draw the unnecessary legal scrutiny of a multi-national corporation. My spare time and money has been tied up implementing things like helpwithaxway.com - the first completely open and public forum that allowed anybody to ask for help, or provide answers on or about Axway’s Synchrony and other suites of software. I can’t afford attorney fees and missing work on top of the domain names, hosting, design, development of the multiple sites I’ve built, maintained and am developing.

To take it even a step further, I’ll go far as to go right here on the record, and say that Axway makes the best software of any company ever. Their Synchrony suite has so flawlessly integrated all possible file transmission methods that even when one or two don’t work, you’ll be so ecstatic that you’re getting to use Axway’s software, you will completely forget about your problems.

Now do what you will with that statement, as Axway now wields the control over the content that appears on this site. I’m pretty sure they won’t have a problem with this one, right? I don’t know why, but this just reminded me of the guy who got fired from his job at a convenience store after being robbed for giving the money away…even though he had a gun held to his face…good times. I’m not saying anything bad about Axway though…let’s be clear on that. Keep an eye out for axwaysucks.com though, turns out there is a lot of interest in purchasing that domain by people willing to publish content on it that I wouldn’t be able to. If you are interested, please get your bids and proposals in now. The domain will be sold not necessarily to the highest bidder, but for the bidder with the best intentions/ideas on what to do on the site. I’d share mine, but I can’t anymore. They weren’t nice enough for the New Axway User Blog.

Salud.

Tony.
