No matter what somebody’s role in the workplace is, one of the roles they’re engaged in somehow relates to making executives happy. What’s neat about executives is that they’re easy to please in most cases, and the easiest way to please a lot of them is dashboards. They’re almost the equivalent of shiny things to [...]
Best practices - Title update when topic is solved
Hello Axway Community,
The members’ rights have just been updated so that anyone can now modify the title of the topics he started.
The benefit is that, once a topic has been given a satisfying answer, the owner of the topic can now modify the title and tag it as [SOLVED] for example. The forums moderators will also help on this.
This should help identifying topics that may contain answers to your questions.
Axway User Forum annoucement in the YahooGroups
Dear eGroups users,
We’ve read your recent comments following the annoucement of the new Axway Forums with a lot of attention and would like to give you few clarifications on our initiative.
This new initiative is by no mean an attempt to take control over the free and open communication which was going on in the Yahoo Groups but rather to offer you a more robust and sustainable platform where all our user community can exchange and share freely on their experience with Axway.
We have no plan to exercise any kind of censorship other than typical moderation to ensure mutual respect and freedom of thought within respect of the stated Terms and Conditions.
The current eGroups won’t be “turned off” but rather made read-only until we find an appropriate way to migrate them to the new platform.
This place is yours and your comments and suggestions will help us to make the new forums more and more valuable over time.
Best regards,
Your Community Admin
Copying files to an alternate location
I need to have files copied from my default Gateway directory to some other Gateway filesystem as soon as these files are received by the Gateway. How should I proceed? (Version: XFB.Gateway 6.8 under Solaris)
The Axway User Group
Since the notice came out about the yahoo groups being made read only, I figured I’d better spill the beans. The fully functional Axway User Group dedicated to allowing all of Axway’s users and customers a free and open means by which they can share ideas, ask questions, help eachother out, and just plain old [...]
My Daily Insight
I’ve gotta admit, I’m a little bit frustrated with Axway lately. As always, there’s lots going on in the world of Axway. I’m in the process of certifying FTP, SFTP, and FTPS for automated pulls using Synchrony Gateway 6.11, have one last trading partner to convert to complete my PCI Compliance Conversion project, and get [...]
Transfer model removing the trailing / in directory name
Hola,
We need to connect to a remote SFTP site to get a directory listing, but in order to make it work we have to specify the directory as “/files/” when we manually create a transfer. When we try to specify it in the model, the trailing “/” is eliminated, and so the directory listing fails.
We tried an ftp command attribute in the model of “QUOTE cwd /files/” as well as “QUOTE cwd ../files/” to no avail. Can somebody help with this one?
Thanks,
Tony
Axway Forum Syndicate!
Whoa, not to toot my own horn, but this is cool. I put together some code tidbits that will take all posts to the http://forums.axway.com site and publish them here as well from the RSS feed they provided us to stay up to date on what’s happening on the site! Clicking the title of the [...]
The Fascination with “Axway Sucks”
Hey all. I started a new category called Axway Sucks today because there are multiple hits every single day to the site from people googling the term “Axway sucks”. What I’m incredibly fascinated about is why so many people are searching it? I’ve opened comments up so that anybody can post without registering. If you’ve [...]
Uses for Transfer
Greetings!
I’ve finally managed to get an instance of Synchrony Transfer installed and hooked up with a non-production Gateway environmnet. What I’m looking at now is how to start testing this out without disturbing the various groups I receive files from too much. We’re running on Linux, and my plan was to start getting files out to a network share that I could mount as a drive on the Transfer box, and then have transfer monitor a directory to start pushing files through to gateway as soon as they exist.
Does this sound about right? Anybody willing to share how they’re using it?
Graciously,
Tony
