Since the notice came out about the yahoo groups being made read only, I figured I’d better spill the beans. The fully functional Axway User Group dedicated to allowing all of Axway’s users and customers a free and open means by which they can share ideas, ask questions, help eachother out, and just plain old talk to eachother, is launching on November 24th. I’d hoped to wait until launch to have a fun little rollout, but since we can’t post in the yahoo groups and that’s the only tie besides our new “forums.axway.com” site that I’ve got to the masses of the Axway community, here it is! I tried to send one last message to each of the yahoo groups, but like with everything there it’s “waiting for moderation”. Here’s the long and short of it -
A full community site will launch on November 24th at http://www.axwayusergroup.com – This site is completely driven by users, for users, with the hopes that maybe Axway will help answer some questions, but it will be completely out of their hands.
The questions/answers from helpwithaxway.com and the forums.axway.com site will be migrated without difficulty, and there will also be Q&A, a “Dear Axway” section, blogs, a chatroom, and the opportunity for users to communicate with each other through various methods. There will be a nifty Wiki component for adding knowledgebase type of information (Installation how-tos, tuning, etc), and anything else users ask for.
