I only have a few minutes to write since I’m late for dinner, and I spent the last 90 minutes launching an entirely new website from scratch, but I figured I’d share a bit about my experience so far with the hopes that some other people might comment and let everybody know what they think!

First of all, the Arizona Biltmore where the conference is being held is an absolutely gorgeous resort. Aside from great food, amazing rooms, and spectacular grouds and facilities, everybody who works here seems to be ridiculously nice! Good ups on chosing this place, I definitely hope it’s here next year!

This is my first Connections conference, so it’s been a new and eye-opening experience on a lot of levels. On Wednesday I spent all day in Customer Advisory Board meetings. The first one was a technical CAB, and I found it very insightful and incredibly useful. It was awesome to hear other users speak with such candor about the problems they’ve experienced, as well as the things that have worked well for them. It was a great chance to meet other users who are using the same versions of the software I am right now (and on the same platforms), and even better to be heard by Axway on what challenges users face daily.

Today’s speakers and breakout meetings were also very useful. Technically it’s the first day of the conference, so we were greeted by the CEO, Mr. Fabre. There was a great lunch where people grouped off by different topics called “birds of a feather”…and while the concept was great, there was very little discussion relative to the topic at hand for each table.

Tonight there is dinner and game night, so I’ll post more about the meetings I attended and the speakers I saw later tonight!

p.s. - The reception at a crazy mansion was amazing last night!!!

Until later,

Tony
